That's just one persons opinion. Look at the user reviews, all 8's, 9's and some 10's. Don't judge a game on one persons opinion, look at everyone's. And most people say it's good, so go get it. OK.
Motorstorm did rock and to date has sold over 1 million copies! So what was your point? Keep believing every piece of negative news about these games, you can't play them anyway. I would rather play Lair and HS than ANOTHER FPS(Halo 3) anytime. They are far more innovative. And yes, history will repeat itself, they will sell a crap load of PS3's.
I loved it in Motorstorm. Some just don't realise how sensitive the Sixaxis is. They start waving their arms in the air and then give up when they lose control. It takes time to get used to it, but when you do it feels natural and intuitive. Think of leaning to your side to turn a corner, natural. I'm still getting Lair and Heavenly Sword, because I enjoy Sixaxis. And a rating is just someone else's opinion.
There has never been a truer word spoken. I just hope little Johnny remembers to set his PS3 to a higher definition. Standard definition is a default setting. And remember, DVD's also use to be stuck in a remote corner of the store before the were recognized!
A price drop is always welcome. Just as long as they maintain that great quality, and not produce a cheap, breakable system like XBOX 360! Flame me!
Yep. You are so right. Hardly anyone is selling HD-DVD at retail. The Ezy-DVD shop sells twice as many HD-DVD titles than Blu-ray, only because it's about the only shop that sells them. Target, Big W, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi etc are only selling Blu-ray.
The fact is this. Wether or not people go for Blu-ray or HD-DVD, PS3's are going to continue to sell. Mark my words, they are going to sell in large numbers. And more and more people will have Blu-ray players. Now these people may or may not utilize the format. But this is a numbers game. The more players that are out there, the more chances people have of using them. Toshiba seems to be missing one vital point. If HD-DVD stand alone players are outselling Blu-ray players 7 to 1, and PS3 mean...
But the key word is TRYING.
PS3 is sure tough. It likes saunas, freezers, not melting thermometers though. I liked the story where a guy's young son took a pee all over it. All he had to do was replace the cable and it was OK. I personally have clocked up 118 hrs on Oblivion (I know pitiful) and it's only frozen 4 times. But that was near the end of a couple of 8hr sessions. Ps, I've played heaps of other games on the system, I'm just making the point it does'nt freeze up very often.
But the 360's camera sux! PS3's Eye is cool.
There are 25GB on a single layer Blu-ray, idiot! That leaves 15GB for the rest of the game. You are thinking of DVD, DOH! Actually, sorry, DVD only has 8.5GB.
Sony are justified in using Blu-ray. It's the logical solution for Next Gen gaming. 360 users are suffering from BDDD (Blu-ray Disc Deficit Disorder), and it makes them blind to that logic. That's why they hang around PS3 threads all day.
I wonder how Bioshock would run if you crammed 1000 enemies into it. You could count the frame rate on one hand.
Anyone who has seen this game knows it's amazing. The superior sound is a bonus. The fact that it will NEVER come out on 360 must really make some people jealous.
When you have to compress something you reduce it's quality. So Heavenly Swords sound quality should be incredible.
My favourite Paramount movies are Spielberg movies anyway. And they are still coming out on both. Good on you Steven! Paramount are going to be the big losers, when they realise HD-DVD will never be able to overtake BD. As for Dreamworks, I am so over Shrek.
You have to wait! I can't wait to get this game.
I've pre-ordered my copy. The game is short but it will be sweet. It will give me time to get through Lair, after I play Warhawk. It beats me why only some games are marked down for being short. Like The Darkness for example. Really short game, (10 hours) yet it still got a 9. I think Heavenly Sword's cinematics will be enough reason to play it again and again. It's ground breaking stuff.
If Blu-ray is on the way out, then HD-DVD must have already left the building and crossed the street. And a good example of a brick would have to be the 360 add-on. It has been proven inferior to PS3's HD playback and it's not selling very well at all. Funny!
You obviously don't own a PS3, so why would you listen to Sony fanboy reviews. The whole reason you are on this thread at all is to convince yourself there crap games, good luck. They will sell craploads, and anyway why should you care?
